L. (Luke) van der Koog, BSc

Luke van der Koog holds a Bachelor of Science (2016, cum laude) and Master of Science in Pharmacy (2020, summa cum laude) from the University of Groningen, where he specialized in respiratory pharmacology. He completed his PhD at the University of Groningen in Molecular Pharmacology (2025) under Prof. Dr. Reinoud Gosens, Prof. Dr. Erik Frijlink, and Dr. Anika Nagelkerke, focusing on innovative strategies for alveolar epithelial repair in COPD. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Erik Frijlink, investigating the antifibrotic properties of osteoglycin-derived fragments in pulmonary fibrosis.
