Technician

I am a PhD student at the Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy Department, working under the supervision of dr. Wouter Hinrichs and prof. dr. Erik Frijlink. My research focuses on the intradermal delivery of biopharmaceuticals, utilizing dissolving microneedle arrays. This approach could potentially replace intramuscular or subcutaneous injections such as those used in vaccinations or hormone replacement therapy.

Before starting my PhD, I obtained both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Groningen. During my Master’s program, I conducted my research project in the same department, focusing on developing a new oral sustained release formulation of hydrocortisone. Additionally, I participated in the Honours Master’s Program ‘High Tech Systems and Materials’.
